Effective July 1, 2010, a new federal regulation will affect Instant Cash & Check Card card transactions that overdraw your personal account. Lakewood Bank has always declined ATM and one time Debit Card transactions when there are not sufficient funds in your account at the time of the transaction. This will not change with the new regulation, and you will also not be asked to “opt in” or “opt out” of an overdraft service.
